Pet Photography Locations

Fell Foot

Fell Foot Park is a National Trust property, situated at the bottom of Lake Windermere, a fantastic all round family friendly location for a pet photoshoot suitable for dogs and humans of all sizes and ages!

There is a meadow that is perfect for some action shots at one end, a cafĂ© serving lots of lovely dishes at the other, with some pretty wooded areas  which are great for portrait shots and direct safe access to the lake  lake which is brilliant for the water loving dogs (Labradors I'm looking at you!)

Using the Lake for those water loving dogs is a really fun way to capture some really unique photographs of them, I offer this between March and October - to get the best shots I have to be in the water at eye level, it is a little too chilly in the winter for that!!

Fell Foot is also the location I am really excited to be using to host 'Pop Up' mini sessions in the future, with access to their active base for studio style shoots which will be awesome in case the weather doesn't quite behave!

Roan Head

I love beaches, especially proper beaches with sand dunes, and what is really ace is dogs and children seem to love them too! So this is a great location for a full family photoshoot. Zoomies seem to be intensified in the sand and there is also usually lots of fun digging too (children and dogs alike)! For a young pup Roan head is also just perfect as can get a variety of different shots without them having to walk very far from the car park. A generally all round fun location to do some pet photography in. You won't be disappointed!

Beacon Tarn

Beacon Tarn is a really lovely location for pet photography, I spend a lot of time at the start of this walk as it is where the Lakeland Gundog Training Club hold most of their training days, this just makes me fall in love with it more! It is about a 25 min walk from where you park to get to the tarn itself but when you get there the views are just incredible, with The Old Man of Coniston in one direction and looking out to Morecambe Bay on the other. It is especially lovely in the peak of summer when the heather is out in full bloom.
